The Encouragement Is Key Network

In late 2010 in the aftermath of several personal tragedy and great anguish, James sowed seeds for two encouragement based, internet supported projects through which he provided encouragement to others who faced similar tragedies and setbacks. Those projects served as the blue prints for many other endeavors that blossomed into a thriving helps network that he labeled Encouragement Is Key in 2013. Since 2013, the Encouragement Is Key network has grown to 18 projects, 4 divisions, and 20 books and counting. It remains focused on providing encouragement to individuals, couples, leaders & teams in the workplace. James remains at the helm of this vibrant network as its founder & Chief Encouragement Officer.

Ministry Background & Service

And, as it relates to ministerial service, James confessed Christ as Lord & Saviour, in March of 1993 not long after the death of his idle & hero, his Dad. Shortly thereafter James switched modes and transitioned from an intense focus on evangelism to a teaching, preaching pulpit ministry to aid church members in their spiritual growth and development. In February of 1995, James answered the call to public ministry by delivering a trial sermon. In response to that trial the ministry leaders of the church James attended confirmed that James’ Answer to “the call” was genuine and authentic. James was subsequently licensed as a preacher of the Gospel-a priviledge he has exercised whenever asked over the past 25 plus years. After licensure, James attended the Philadelphia Bible College & Seminary and majored in Biblical Studies for which he earned an Associates’ degree. James has served in a number of churches and ministries As Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Trustee & Chairman of the trustee Board, Director of food programs, Director of ministry outreach teams, Director of Youth Sports Programs in addition to teacher and preacher. Presently he is a member of the leadership team of The Seventh Metro Church in Baltimore, under the ministerial oversight of Pastor Ryan Preston Palmer. It is James’ hope to develop The Emmaus Road Ministries into a full blown Bible training institute that offers course completion certificates to church members and in support of ministerial leaders. This division of the Network will seek opportunities to serve and support others in keeping with the focus of the founder and in step with the other divisions of the Network.
